Terms and Conditions
  1. The Center for Professional Engineering Education Services, following the standards and procedures of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, will compile and review the records presented with respect to the applicant’s academic history and qualifications earned.  The applicant agrees to provide any additional information in connection with the inquiry as may be required by the Center or licensing board.
  2. An application that has not been completed, signed, or include the required fees will not be processed.
  3. The evaluation of academic credentials will be completed when the required academic transcripts, degree verification, and other documentation needed are received and deemed appropriate.
  4. All records presented will become part of the applicant’s permanent file and property of the Center. If the file is not completed, the file and its contents will be securely destroyed.
  5. The evaluation will review and compare only university-level studies completed at an accredited institution, for credit purposes, and leading to the award of a degree in engineering, surveying, technology, or related sciences. Work experience and experiential learning will not be evaluated.
  6. Omissions, willful misrepresentation or alteration of information, and any other form of falsification will invalidate the application immediately, and the licensing board to which the applicant has applied will be notified.
  7. The Center and its affiliates have the right to verify any and all information and documentation provided as part of this application with the appropriate educational institutions, organizations, authorities, and individuals, and to release copies of any documentation to third parties for the purpose of confirming its accuracy and authenticity.
  8. The evaluation of academic credentials will be based on the national educational structure in place at the time the degrees and programs were completed, the information provided by the national education authorities or institutions, the comparative education guidelines applicable to the specific credential and time period, and the EAC/ABET program accreditation criteria in place at the time the degrees/programs were completed.
  9. It is the responsibility of the applicant to maintain the Center updated regarding changes in contact information while an application is under evaluation. This information should be provided in writing, by fax, or (preferably) electronically. Address changes should be e-mailed to centersupport@ncees.org.
  10. The Center will notify the applicants at regular intervals of missing credentials and application status. It is the responsibility of the applicants to follow up and secure that the required documentation is mailed in a timely fashion.
  11. If a cancellation request is received from an applicant, the Center will retain the records presented and will notify the appropriate licensing board.
  12. Two reports will be generated upon completion of the initial evaluation. One report will be transmitted electronically to the specified licensing board; the other report will be sent to the applicant via U.S. Postal Service first-class mail. Additional electronic transmittals or hard copies of the report may be requested for an additional fee.
  13. Evaluation reports are advisory, and the applicant releases, discharges, and exonerates the Center, its officers, director, its affiliates, and other parties involved from any liability of every nature and kind arising from the processing, verification, disclosure of facts for authentication purposes, and the evaluation’s final outcome.
  14. Inquiries, cancellations, and requests must be submitted in writing; if status updates are requested, the applicant must select the appropriate form, complete it electronically or download it and fax or mail (reactivation, reevaluation, evaluation review).
  15. All activities are conducted by regular mail, courier service, fax, or e-mail. No walk-ins allowed. Applicants may contact the Center during its hours of operation, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, or check the status of an application online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Center does not return international calls.
